Los Angeles – Grindr, a location-based mobile dating and
social network service for gay men, announced on Wednesday that its user base
has swelled to over 1 million members in 180 countries. The service was
launched in March 2009, and now counts 250,000 active users, who spend an
average of 1.3 hours daily using the app, in addition to 400,000 weekly active
users, and nearly 600,000 monthly active users.
