Burbank, Calif. – Pay-TV network operator Starz Media
announced on Tuesday that it will sell its Film Roman animation studio to a
group of investors led by former Film Roman president Scott Greenberg.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Film Roman produces
animation for "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill,"
"Beavis and Butt-Head," "Super Hero Squad" and other programs.

Since leaving Film Roman in 2008, Greenberg co-founded animation company Bento
Box Entertainment, which is currently producing "Bob’s Burger" for
Fox.

The investor group that is acquiring Film Roman also intends to purchase
Bento Box, and combine the two production companies.
