Sunnyvale, Calif. – Tech media outlets and blogs have been
buzzing over the last two days about the possibility of major job cuts coming
to Yahoo (NASD: YHOO).
TechCrunch reported that a 20% cut in the company’s workforce —
representing about 2,800 positions — is coming soon, while the Wall Street
Journal’s AllThingsD blog put the number at about 10%.
Yahoo put out a
statement that denied the 20% cut, calling it "misleading and inaccurate."
