San Francisco – Technorati, a blog search engine and
accompanying ad network, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Silicon
Valley Moms Group, a network of blogging mothers and women.
Financial terms of the
transaction were not disclosed.
The Silicon Valley Moms Group was founded in
2006, and has since grown to encompass more than 400 women and mom bloggers.
San Francisco-based Technorati said it acquired the company to help provide
their bloggers with an entry point to publish their content to a broader
audience.
Technorati was the fourth-largest social media property and largest
ad network on social media, reaching 170 million U.S. users in October,
according to comScore.
