Oakland, Calif. – Streaming music service Pandora said on
Thursday that former News Corp. president and COO Peter Chernin, and former
Netflix CFO Barry McCarthy have been elected to its board of directors.
"Peter brings an extraordinary track record of leadership at some of the
world’s most successful global media companies," said Pandora CEO Tim
Westergren. "His diverse talent and deep experience will be invaluable as
we seek to accelerate our growth. Additionally, Barry’s decade-plus tenure as
chief financial officer at a truly great consumer services company will be a
