Seattle – Fashion specialty retail store chain Nordstrom
announced on Thursday that it will acquire HauteLook, an online private sale
marketplace with four million members.

Seattle-based Nordstrom will pay $180
million stock, plus up to $90 million in additional performance-based payments.

Founded in 2007, Los Angeles-based HauteLook offers limited-time sales of 50%
to 75% off beauty, travel, home and local services, sent to members via email
daily.

Nordstrom said HauteLook will continue to operate independently under
its current leadership, and its brand and website will remain separate from
Nordstrom.
