Stamford, Conn. – Harman International, an audio technology
and "infotainment" company, has acquired 3dB Research, a privately
held, Canada-based developer of music and signal processing technology.
3dB’s
algorithms and software are designed to improve the quality of vocal and
instrumental music effects.
The technology is currently deployed in DigiTech’s
Vocalist Live 3, Live5, and VL3D vocal harmony products as well as its
HarmonyMan and TimeBender guitar products.
Terms of the acquisition were not
disclosed.
