Los Angeles – Film distributor Screen Media Ventures on
Monday announced the launch of Popcornflix.com, a site that will offer free,
ad-supported streaming of full-length independent feature films. At launch, the
service offers 200 titles with plans to expand to 1,000, as well as into Canada
and other international markets. The ads supporting the free films will
interrupt the stream about every ten minutes.
