Seattle – Z2Live, a developer of mobile games, announced on
Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed amount of second round funding, led
by Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
Previous backer Madrona Venture Group also
participated in the round, funds from which will be used for additional hires
and to accelerate growth.
Seattle-based Z2Live launches its first title,
"Trade Nations," in late 2010 for Apple iOS devices.
The company also
said that Ed Fries, a co-founder of the Xbox Project and builder of Microsoft’s
Game Studios, has joined the Z2Live board.
