Reston, Va. – A week after initially being sued by rival
Nielsen for alleged patent infringement, Internet audience measurement firm
comScore said it has filed a countersuit against the New York-based company in
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Both suits are
seeking injunctive relief, as well as unspecified monetary damages.
comScore
called Nielsen’s suit "without merit," and vowed to "vigorously
protect its intellectual property and defend itself." Specific details of
the litigation were not disclosed.
