San Francisco – Sony Pictures has dropped the download price
of several of its titles below the DVD price point, and is said to be experimenting
with pricing on download-to-own videos, CNET News.com reported, citing film
industry sources.

On Amazon.com and at the iTunes Store, one can purchase a
download of "The Tourist" and "How Do You Know" for $12.99,
while at Amazon the DVD currently sells for $15.

Sony (NYSE: SNE) is said to be
"searching for a price that stimulates download sales but won’t erode
demand for DVDs."
