Beverly Hills, Calif. – Netflix (NASD: NFLX) announced on Monday that it
has signed a five-year licensing deal with Viacom’s (NYSE: VIA) Paramount Pictures for the
territory of Canada.

The deal includes over 350 new movies for the company’s
instant streaming service in Canada.

Separately, The Wall Street Journal
reported over the weekend that film studio Miramax is finalizing a five-year
deal with Netflix that would provide over 700 movie titles to the company.

The
deal is estimated to be worth more than $100 million, people familiar with the
situation told The Journal.
