Minneapolis, Minn. – Zencoder, a provider of cloud-based
video transcoding services, has raised $2 million in new funding.

Participants
in the investment round included Andreessen Horowitz, Ignition Partners, SV
Angel, Lowercase Capital, Founder Collective, 500 Startups, and individual
investors including Matt Cutts, James Lindenbaum, Orion Henry, Adam Wiggins,
Wolfgang Buehler, Mike Bollinger and Neil McClements.

Founded in 2010,
Minneapolis-based Zencoder provides video transcoding services for customers including
PBS, TwitVid, Posterous and College Humor.
