New York – Exfm, the developer of an add-on for Google’s
Chrome browser that provides a music discovery service, has raised $750,000 in
seed funding, TechCrunch reported.

Investors included Spark Capital, Betaworks,
Founder Collective and Dave Morgan.

Founded in 2010, New York-based exfm’s
Chrome extension alerts a user when a Web page being visited contains an
embedded or linked MP3 file, and saves the location in a playlist so that tunes
may be listened to later.

Exfm will use the new funds to hire additional staff,
expand its application beyond Chrome, and launch mobile applications for iOS
and Android.
