Geneva – Official.fm, a service that lets artists and labels
upload and market their music online, has raised $8 million in new funding to
develop its platform, according to a post on the company’s blog.
The company
did not disclose investors in the round.
Geneva-based Official.fm provides a
platform where artists, labels and others can upload a song once, and see it
distributed to a range of stores and services.
The company recently launched an
advanced API, for partnerships with services like music streamer Shuffler.fm,
and plans to soon launch a desktop-based track manager.
Official.com said it
currently counts 15 employees, and is currently looking to hire new talent.
