Los Angeles – VYou, the developer of a conversational video platform, announced on Monday the closing of a $3 million first round of venture capital financing, led by RRE Ventures and Highland Capital Partners.
High Peaks Venture Partners, Broadway Video Ventures, Kevin Wall, David Tisch, and Rick Webb also participated in the round, which will be used for product development and to support growth.
Since launching in November 2010, VYou says it has served over 20 million video views.
The company has partnerships with MTV, Hearst Newspapers and Simon & Schuster, which are using the service to facilitate more personal interaction with their audiences.
