Waterloo, Canada – BlackBerry smartphone maker Research in Motion (RIM) announced on Tuesday that it has acquired Scoreloop, a Germany-based developer of cross-platform mobile games.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Scoreloop currently develops titles playable across BlackBerry, iOS and Android mobile platforms, and provides a suite of development tools.
The company said it intends to continue to develop across all platforms, with a focus on RIM’s BlackBerry and PlayBook.
