San Francisco, Calif. — SupportSpace, a company that connects businesses with a number of independent software and technology consultants, announced their acquisition of an additional $12 million in funding on Friday.
Backed by Gemini, BRM and Emergence Capital, the recent funding brings the startup’s total amount of investment to $37 million.
Founded in 2006, the company reports delivering nearly 5 million minutes of service a month while supporting thousands of clients, among which are Lavasoft, Panda Security and Check Point Security.
SupportSpace recently partnered with Best Buy in an effort designed to boost the remote tech services business of GeekSquad, TechCrunch reported. The partnership allows customers to buy remote tech service products online and through one of BestBuy’s more than 1,110 stores.
