– Bookseller Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS) on Monday introduced a new $149 Nook Wi-Fi
e-book reader device, and discounted the price of its Nook 3G edition to $199,
from $259.
The company claimed the new price on the Nook 3G marks the market’s
first sub-$200 "dedicated full-featured eBook reader that offers both free
3G and Wi-Fi connectivity."
Barnes & Noble also released a software
update for the entire Nook line, which among other features adds complimentary
access to all AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots.
