Los Angeles – Digital music service eMusic currently counts
around 400,000 paying subscribers — the same number the company reported in
December 2007 — signaling it has seen no net additions to its subscriber base
over the past three years, Digital Music News reported. "We have held our
base since the economy went south," eMusic spokeswoman Cathy Halgas Nevins
told Digital Music News, adding, "We have a new strategy in place for growth."
