Los Angeles – Indie band Sick of Sarah, which released its
latest album for free on the BitTorrent file-sharing network, has seen
"2205" downloaded more than 1.3 million times in the past month,
TorrentFreak reports. BitTorrent actually bundled the record with downloads of
its various file-sharing clients. "While album sales will remain a
critical element of success, we also believe BitTorrent will help us drive new
fans to live concerts and purchase our merchandise," said Jamie Holm, the
band’s bassist.
