New York – Digital music and media distributor The Orchard
has achieved profitability, and saw revenues increase 14.7% in 2010, the company
tells Billboard. Billboard estimated the company’s 2010 revenue at $71.4
million. Digital revenues were up 10.5%, while the remaining growth was derived
from physical product, distribution and public performance royalties. Apple’s
iTunes store accounted for 64% of The Orchard’s clients’ revenues.
