Mountain View, Calif. – Google has updated its Google News
service, adding automatic personalization of which stories are displayed, based
on a user’s previous reading preferences. A new "Recommended
Sections" section will also suggest topics a user may want to add to their
list of custom news sections. Users not interested in the new personalization
features can opt to click on the "Standard U.S. Edition" link at the
bottom of the Google News page.
