San Francisco – Whistleblower site WikiLeaks received around
$1.9 million in donations in 2010, some $700,000 of which came during November
and December, according to the Wau Holland Foundation, the organization that is
handling donations for the organization, Wired.com reported. Of the total sum,
WikiLeaks spent $585,000 on expenses, $200,000 of which went to processing
submissions. Thirty-five percent of the total amount donated came from U.S.
-based contributors, while 14% came from Germany, and 12% from the U.K.
