New York – Parlor.fm said on Monday that it has raised $5 million in angel funding from ALM UNLTD, and launched its mobile social network at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.

Available initially for iPhone and Android, with BlackBerry and Windows Mobile support coming soon, Parlor.fm focuses on voice-based communication, allowing users to connect and talk with like-minded individuals in VoIP-powered group conversations.

Users may create four personal profiles — Personal, Work, Sales & Service, and Free Advice.

The company will use the funds to bolster its array of mini-apps for the service, and debut new functionalities in the future.
