San Francisco
– Linden Lab, which developed the "Second Life" online virtual world,
announced that it has acquired Enemy Unknown, a Swedish company that runs
community site Avatars United.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

San Francisco-based Linden Lab said the deal will help enable those of its
users who wish to share more of their offline identities with their virtual
world friends.

The Avatars United platform will among other things provide the
ability to create a Second Life activity feed, which users can share with
friends.
