– Satellite TV provider DirecTV (NYSE: DTV)
said on Tuesday that it will add the ESPN 3D network to its lineup in June. ESPN
3D will offer minimum of 85 live sporting events in its first year, including
up to 25 World Cup matches, the X Games, ACC Championship, BCS National
Championship, college basketball and NBA games. DirecTV said it will also offer
N3D, a channel from Panasonic delivering 3D content from a range of producers,
in addition to a 3D pay-per-view channel and a 3D DirecTV on Demand channel in
June.
