Madison, Wisc. – Networked Insights, a provider of social
media analytics, announced that it has raised $5 million in its first round of
funding, led by Kegonsa Capital Partners.

Founded in 2006, Madison, Wisc.-based Networked Insights said
its SocialSense platform mines data from 300 million people and 1.5 billion
conversations monthly.

The company, which has now raised a total of $9 million
to date, will use the new funds for further product development, and for sales
and marketing efforts.
