– Publisher and media measurement firm Nielsen announced on Tuesday that it has
acquired GlanceGuide, a provider of video analytics services.

Financial term of
the deal were not disclosed.

Palo Alto,
Calif.-based GlanceGuide measures a viewer’s "attentiveness" to
online videos, aggregating variables like viewing duration, video visibility
and audio volume.

The companies worked together last year, and Nielsen said the
deal will allow it to provide client with "a single technology solution
that enables audience measurement, advertising effectiveness research, and
robust analytics and optimization."
