Los Angeles – BlueBeat.com, a website that was ordered last
year by a judge to cease selling or streaming songs from the Beatles and other
artists for which it said it had created copyright-exempt, "psychoacoustic
simulation" versions, has now expanded the service to the iPhone (NASD: AAPL), The
Register reported. A judge last year sided with EMI and found "no
meaningful difference" between the copyrighted original songs and
BlueBeat.com’s psychoacoustic simulations. The free BlueBeat iPhone app offers
streaming playlists at up to 160 kbps.
