Los Angeles
– Gaikai, a cloud-based video game streaming service, announced on Monday that
it has raised over $10 million in its second round of funding.

Investors
included TriplePoint Capital, Rustic Canyon Partners and previous backer Benchmark Capital.

Los
Angeles-based Gaikai, which says it soon plans to launch in North
America, will offer an online game service accessible from
multiple devices and platforms.

Publishers and developers can use Gaikai to
offer try-before-you-buy streaming game demos on their own sites.
