San Mateo,
Calif. – ShareGrove, an online service
that lets small groups of friends share content, announced on Wednesday that it
has been acquired by Facebook.
Financial terms of the transaction were not
disclosed.
San Mateo, Calif.-based ShareGrove,
whose service debuted at the DEMO conference last fall, said it has disabled
new user registrations, and is winding down operations and will shutter the
service on June 1.
The company had received seed funding from Elm Street
Ventures.
VentureBeat notes that only ShareGrove’s Adam Wolff will be joining
Facebook.
