– TRA, a media planning, measurement and analytics software company, said on Wednesday
that it has raised $18.2 million in new funding, including $10 million from
Intel Capital.

Previous backers Arbitron and WPP also participated in the
round, which TRA plans to use for market expansion, continued technology development,
data acquisition and hiring additional personnel.

New York-based TRA is the
developer of a Web-based business intelligence platform, known as Media
TRAnalytics.

The platform matches 1.5 million households of TV data with 54
million households of purchase data, creating a database that helps cable
networks, consumer packaged goods companies and media agencies identify target
audiences.
