Los Angeles
– News Corp.’s (NYSE: NWS) 20th Century Fox film studio has sent takedown notices to a
number of BitTorrent file-sharing site administrators, demanding they remove
links to download copies of the script for "Water For Elephants," which
recently began shooting, TorrentFreak reported. Fox and other studios routinely
demand that such sites remove copies of finished films being traded, but the
report notes that this appears to be one of the first instances of a studio
going after a copy of a script.
