San Francisco
– Social games publisher Zynga announced on Thursday that it has acquired
Austin-based developer Challenge Games.

Financial terms of the deal were not
disclosed.

Founded in 2007, Challenge is backed by Sequoia Capital and
Globespan Capital Partners; its titles include "Warstorm" and
"Ponzi."

San Francisco-based Zynga counts more than 230 million
active monthly players of its games, which include "FarmVille" and
"Mafia Wars."
