New York – Masterbeat, the operator of an online digital
music community and download store, announced on Thursday that it will merge
with AudioStreet, a network of music-related websites.
Financial terms of the
transaction were not disclosed.
AudioStreet.net and its sister site
MixStreet.com were launched in 2004 and 2005, respectively, and provide artist
discovery with a focus on DJ culture.
The services have registered over 70,000
independent artists and served 6 million song plays.
