Baltimore,
Md. – While ad impressions served
to Apple’s (NASD: AAPL) iPad grew 160% in May, the company’s share of the overall mobile ad
market — as measured by Millennial Media — was down nearly 10% for the month.
Apple still leads all device makers with 25% of all ad impressions, but
Google’s (NASD: GOOG) Android saw ad requests grow 15% in May.
The iPhone still leads all
individual devices, but saw its market share drop 8% in May, while Google’s
Nexus One, made by HTC, saw a 1% increase.
