– Apple (NASD: AAPL) on Monday released
its iOS 4 update for the iPhone and iPod touch, which brings new features
including multitasking with applications, a unified email inbox and the ability
to place applications into folders. The update is fully compatible with the iPhone
3GS and forthcoming iPhone 4, while iPhone 3G users won’t be able to use
multitasking, and owners of the original iPhone will be shut out of the update
entirely.
