Los Angeles – France’s
forthcoming "three-strikes" protocol to combat file-sharing will be
able to monitor peer-to-peer networks and identify 25,000 incidents of
suspected infringement per day for music, and another 25,000 incidents per day
for audiovisual works, TorrentFreak reports. Anti-piracy firm Trident Media
Guard is expected to monitor traffic across BitTorrent, eD2K (eDonkey-eMule)
and Gnutella networks in France.
