Seattle – Amazon.com will acquire Woot, the operator of an
online discount retail site, Woot said in a blog post.
Financial terms of the
deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2004, Woot offers daily deal discounts on
products ranging from consumer electronics to wine.
The company will remain
headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, and operate autonomously as have other
Amazon acquisitions, like Zappos and Audible.
