Chicago – Indie music site Pitchfork on Wednesday announced
plans to launch Altered Zones, a sister site that will cull posts from 14 blogs
and focus on "leftfield pop, experimental, and home-recorded sounds. The
site, set to launch on July 7, will be co-edited by the bloggers behind
Visitation Rites and Transparent, and additionally feature posts contributed by
music blogs including Gorilla vs. Bear.
