Winter Park, Fla. – Content delivery network Highwinds
announced on Thursday that it has acquired BandCon, a provider of Internet
infrastructure services.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Florida-based Highwinds said it will maintain BandCon’s offices in Costa Mesa,
Calif., and named BandCon founder and CEO Ari Benowitz as chief revenue
officer.

The company said that the deal will give its customers access to an
international network with 2 terabits per second of edge capacity and more than
70 points of presence worldwide.
