Shanghai – Tudou, a video-sharing site in China, announced
on Thursday that it has raised $50 million in a fifth round of venture capital
financing.

Singapore’s Temasek Holdings invested $35 million, while previous
backers provided the other $15 million.

Founded in 2005, Tudou now hosts 38
million user-generated and professionally produced videos.

The company’s CEO,
Gary Wang, told The Wall Street Journal he hopes the site’s entire library will
be available for viewing on iPhone and Android platforms within a month.

Tudou
has now raised a total of $135 million to date.
