Los Angeles – Bandcamp, a publishing platform for musicians that
lets them upload and sell or give away their tracks, has announced that bands
using the service will now have to pay for to offer "free" downloads,
Hypebot reported. Existing accounts will be granted 500 free downloads, and new
accounts 200; after that, bundles can be purchased in 300-track ($9/$0.03 per
track), 1,000-track ($20/$0.02 per track) and 5,000-track ($75/$0.015 per
track) increments.
