Fremont, Calif. – In its second major funding round this
year, Quantenna Communications, a developer of chipsets for Wi-Fi home
entertainment networking, said on Monday it has raised $21 million in its fifth
round, led by new investor DAG Ventures.

Previous backers Sequoia Capital,
Sigma Partners, Southern Cross Venture Partners and Venrock Associates also
participated in the round, which comes just seventh months after the company
also closed a $15 million round.

Quantenna said that it will use the proceeds
to accelerate product deployment through carriers and retail channels.

The
company’s chipsets allow Wi-Fi home networks to deliver the same quality as
wired Ethernet, including supporting full HD video with 1080p resolution,
anywhere in the home.
