Paris – French media conglomerate Vivendi announced on
Monday that it has sold a 7.66% stake in NBC Universal to General Electric (NYSE:  GE) for
$2 billion. As previously stated, Vivendi plans to sell its remaining 12.34%
stake in NBCU to GE for $3.8 billion, upon completion of the pending transaction
integrating Comcast (NASD:  CMCSA) and NBC Universal.

NBC Universal head Jeff Zucker said last
week that he will step down as CEO upon completion of the transaction, to be
replaced by current Comcast chief operating officer Steve Burke.
