Mountain View, Calif. – Google (NASD: GOOG) has made its Goo.gl URL
shortening service available to the public, having previously reserved the
service for use within its News and Maps. The service will store links
shortened to a user’s Google account. Competitors in the space include TinyURL
and Bit.ly.
