Charleston, S.C. – CreateSpace, the unit of Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) that
offers on-demand manufacturing of DVDs, CDs, books and other media, on Tuesday
announced a partnership with the Library of Congress, to make at least 50,000
public domain books available through Amazon.com. The Library signed a similar
deal with Amazon Europe to make tens of thousands of books available for
print-on-demand ordering in the U.K., Germany and France.
