Los Angeles – Passenger, a developer of social network
products for businesses, announced on Wednesday that it has closed a new $7.5
million round of venture capital financing.

Dr. Bahram Nour-Omid, a partner at
Shelter Capital, led the investment round and has also been appointed CEO of
the company.

Previous backers Shelter Capital Partners, StarVest Partners and
Steamboat Ventures also participated.

Los Angeles-based Passenger’s social
technology products power private online communities for brands including
Mercedes, Microsoft, Fox and JC Penney.

The new funds will be used to
accelerate growth.
