San Francisco – INgrooves, a provider of digital
distribution, marketing and promotional services for media producers, announced
on Wednesday that it has received an investment from Shamrock Capital Growth
Fund II.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed. San Francisco-based
INgrooves said it will use the funds to grow its new e-books vertical, and make
strategic acquisitions in the digital music industry.

The company also said it
has extended its deal with Universal Music, for digital delivery of the major
label’s North American catalog to online and mobile retailers.

Universal Music
has been using INgrooves’ ONE Digital platform to manage distribution of some
of its content since it made a strategic investment in the company in early
2008.
